What to do to avoid awkward socializing when you're not drinking coffee? (Tip of the Week Ep 42)

Updated: Feb 5

Ok, so you might not be a coffee drinker anymore, or maybe you decided to have it only on occasion (like I do nowadays)... Have you ever been invited to meet friends or even to a date at a coffee shop, while you were not drinking coffee and felt weird/did not know what to do?

That happened to me a few times... And while friends know me well enough to know I like to keep up with what makes me healthy, that is probably not the first thing you'll want to explain on a first romantic date. And why would you even need to explain that, right? But coffee has become so much of 'the successful norm' that when you say you decided not to have it, some people might even think you're a weirdo. And nobody wants to be a weirdo on a first date...

On this Tip of The Week, recorded while I stopped by Bryant Park as I was running some errands and catching some morning sun, I decided to give you some tips on how to make it "less awkward" and natural.

I was going to meet up with a friend that cancelled last minute but I had already planned to stop by a smoothie bar to get a green smoothie, on my way there. And this is one of the things you can do - if you're meeting someone in an outdoor location like a park, you can easily stop by a juice/smoothie bar and grab some smoothie or juice squeezed in the moment, on your way there.

And this is only one of the options I talk about.

Watch the full episode here, where I am revealing what I do when I’m meeting someone, on days that I’m not drinking coffee…
